AFI have made a submission to the ACT Budget Estimates process where we welcomed the investments in the ACT Disability Strategy, Health Strategy, and a sizeable investment towards the new system of Foundational Supports. However we noted gaps in Inclusive Education, consolidated and integrated case management and housing. Some key issues for us were the need to invest in sector capacity to engage and support disability reform, a lack of clarity surrounding funding for the Inclusive Education Strategy as well as the ACT Domestic Family and Sexual Violence Strategy as well as the lack of focus on accessible housing.
