Advocacy for Inclusion (AFI) is funded to represent all people with disability in the ACT.
We provide a range of programs and services, both locally and nationally.
Individual disability advocacy
We provide individual advocacy for people with disabilities in Canberra. Our advocacy involves working with you one-on-one to resolve issues you may face.
Our advocacy extends to helping you with NDIS appeals and with submissions to the Royal Commission into violence abuse and neglect of people with disability.
Self-advocacy support
We provide self-advocacy training to people with disabilities to speak for themselves.
Our self-advocacy page outlines what self-advocacy is, and our training page lists any future dates and opportunity for self-advocacy training.
We also have resources to help with your self-advocacy journey.
Systemic Advocacy/Policy
We are a national systemic body representing people with disabilities in the ACT. We write systemic advocacy in the form of submissions, reports and position papers on issues affecting people with disability.
We provide expert policy advice on issues affecting people with disabilities that come through our individual advocacy clients and membership base in the ACT.
Our Policy page highlights the range of submissions and topics we have advocated.
