Advocacy for Inclusion provides independent individual, self and systemic advocacy for people with disabilities.

Advocacy for Inclusion is a Disabled Peoples Organisation which means our board, members and staff are a majority of people with disabilities.

We represent Canberra’s most marginalised and isolated people with disabilities, those with cognitive disabilities and/or significant communication barriers.

We work within a human rights framework and acknowledge the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Advocacy for Inclusion is signed onto the ACT Human Rights Act.

Control & Choice Expo 2015 – Thursday 21 May 10 am to 4 pm!

The Control & Choice Expo will take place tomorrow - Thursday 21 May, 10 am to 4 pm at the Budawang Pavilion at Exhibition Park in Canberra.

This is Canberra’s biggest disability event, it’s owned and operated by Canberra organisation Advocacy for Inclusion, and all proceeds go to charity supporting people with disabilities!

The Expo is full this year and features over 100 exhibitors who have something to offer people with disabilities, particularly those who are transitioning to the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

The range of exhibitors is very broad including equipment, support services, sexual health and therapists, personal planners, gardening groups, employment services and much more.

The Expo is an accessible event so that people with disabilities can easily get around the whole show.
