You can ask for a review if you are unhappy with a decision by the NDIA.

How to make an NDIS Appeal:

You need to do two (2) things before an external merit review can happen:

1) Ask the NDIS to review the decision

IMPORTANT: You cannot ask the AAT to review a decision by the NDIA until the NDIA has reviewed it first.

Request an Internal Review with the NDIA

2) Apply to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT)

IMPORTANT: An application to AAT must be made within 28 days after you receive the decision from the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA). The AAT can extend this time if they think it is reasonable to do so. You will need to write a letter to ask for more time.

Once you have asked for an appeal, the AAT will contact us, and we will contact you within 5 (five) days.
